Week of February 13th in Science

Dear School Family,

Our test over cells is Wednesday.  We started our review last Friday and will finish it tomorrow.  Last week, the students took the same quiz that they took two weeks ago.  This time it was closed notes.  This grade is a good indicator on how much each student needs to study.  The quiz questions are not the same as the test questions, but if a student did well on the quiz, they are learning as we go.  Also, I have graded the web quests and they will be returned tomorrow.  If by chance, a low grade was earned on the web quest (a major grade), it may be corrected and turned back in for the highest grade of a 75.  If the grade is less than a 75, I recommend the corrections be completed and turned in to earn a higher grade.

This Friday is the last day of the fourth six weeks. Please make sure to ask if your child is caught up in all classes.  All work must be turned in by Friday.

The MAP test will be given during the morning on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The students are familiar with the test and know what to expect.  They must bring a charged chromebook to school to complete these tests. The schedule is a bit different and I shared it with the students on their Canvas account.  The students go to 3rd period at 7:45 am and will test there each day.  Please make sure that your child has a book to read for after the test.  They will only be allowed to read when they finish their test.
