Week of January 17th in Science
Dear School Family,
I am really sorry for the late up date. Last week was very busy at school. Report cards went out and we have started a new semester.
Last Friday the students wrote their own lab. Tomorrow, the students will have an opportunity to examine all of the other students write ups and make any needed changes. The outcome of the lab was very interesting. The students tested to see how many drops of water will fit on top of a penny. Have your child explain the lab to you and discuss the changes that were made to their poster.
This week in science -
Monday - School Holiday celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Tuesday - Complete a gallery walk looking at lab write ups, make any changes needed on the posters
Wednesday - Introduction to Cell Theory
Thursday - Students will try to persuade other students that the scientist they are representing was correct in his theory
Friday - Begin the organization of life
