Week of October 24th in Science
Dear School Family,
Last week we learned how to make public service announcement videos about catastrophic events in WeVideo and we will vote for our favorite ones tomorrow using dotstorming. Once the students figured out what they were going to say in the video, it was awesome to watch them work!
This week, our emphasis is how does weathering, erosion, and deposition effect our ecosystems (and us).
Monday - October 24th - Students will watch each of the public service announcements and vote for the best one for each category.
Tuesday - take notes about weathering, erosion, and deposition
Wednesday - complete a lab over weathering, erosion, and deposition
Thursday - finish lab and complete a CFA, common formative assessment, complete ecoregion worksheet
Friday - examine how catastrophic events cause weathering, erosion, and deposition
When you are asking your child what he or she has learned at school each day, ask specific terms from science. If your child can explain the processes to you, we are learning. :) If your child can not explain the processes, then use this letter to have them look up what we did learn in class on the chromebook. Remember, chromebooks should come to school everyday completely charged.

October 25th, progress reports will be sent home with the students. Please ask to see them and go over the progress your child is making in each class. Comments are listed at the bottom with the code on each class line.
October 31st, the students have a holiday and teachers will have staff development.
