Week of Sept 12th in Science

Dear School Family,

This week in science we studied photosynthesis.  Please ask your child to explain the process of photosynthesis to you.  If your child can teach you the process of photosynthesis, then we have had success.  If your child cannot explain this process to you, please encourage him or her to look up the process and then explain it to you.  This is a great review method.

Each student has been assigned a science word or phrase to make an 8.5 inch X 11 inch poster to hang in the classroom.  This project is due by September 20th.  A rubric was given to each student as well.

I have tutorials each Monday from 3:35 pm until 4:05 pm.  Please make sure someone is at school to pick up your child at 4:05 at the front door of MPMS.  If tutorials are needed on another day, just tell me what day is more convenient.  I am available any day except Wednesdays.

This week we will learn about food chains, food webs, and the flow of energy.
